The short answer
We know of no Amazon rule that stops a seller from hiring someone to find and report reviews that break Amazon’s guidelines. Amazon puts a Report link under every review, and its seller help tells sellers to use it when a product review is about service rather than the product.
What Amazon prohibits is manipulation: rewarding or pressuring buyers, abusing the Report feature, or misusing Amazon’s tools to hurt other sellers. This is general information, not legal advice.
What Amazon allows
- Reporting a review that breaks the Community Guidelines, with the Report link under the review.
- Reporting a product review that is about seller service instead of the product.
- Reporting a suspected review attack from Seller Central or the Account Health dashboard.
- Replying to a buyer who contacts you first, through Buyer-Seller Messaging.
What Amazon prohibits
- Offering anything for a review, or for changing or removing one: money, gift cards, discounts, refunds, replacements, or future benefits.
- Asking a buyer to change or remove a review, including during a return.
- Manipulating the Helpful, Not Helpful, or Report Abuse features on any review.
- Trying to damage another seller’s listings or ratings.
What about Amazon’s 2026 Agent Policy?
Amazon’s Agent Policy, effective March 4, 2026, covers automated software that acts for someone on Amazon. Agents must identify themselves and must not imitate human behavior or solve CAPTCHAs. It does not address review reports filed by people.
At Review Magic, software finds candidate reviews and drafts each case. Nothing is sent automatically. On the Removal Kit, you report the review and send the case yourself. On a Done For You plan, a trained specialist checks every case and files the ones that hold up through Amazon’s official channels.
How to keep your account safe with any provider
- Ask for the rule behind each case, before it is filed or in a record afterward.
- Confirm the provider never contacts your buyers or offers them anything.
- Keep your primary login. Grant only the access the work needs.
- Walk away from anyone who reports every low-star review or promises a result.
How Review Magic stays inside the rules
Every case goes through Amazon’s own report channels, the same Report button Amazon puts on every review, and cites Amazon’s written rules. No incentives, no buyer contact, no review manipulation. Genuine complaints about performance, taste, fit, value, or product safety stay up unless the words themselves break a rule.
Our case methodology, filing controls, and billing checks are published on the Compliance page.
